Yesterday evening and night, we got buckets and buckets of rain. There wasn't a single firework ( just a couple of thunders but Rhea went through them without her anxiety coat ) and I don't think there was a single kid in the streets either. I felt sorry for them.
The river grew and there are paddles everywhere again but actually it's a gorgeous day,
well, depending on which direction you look as they announce torrential again for late afternoon.
The girls had fun in the park, sniffing all the broken branches.
A lot of trees continue their changing colors.
Today is a very special day for me, as it is my Dad's birthday. He is 89. Wow am I proud he reached this age ! Nobody is obviously in a hurry to lose parents, but I remember back in the 90's, I was wishing so much they both would see the Year 2000.
Thinking about it right now, it's plain ridiculous as of the year 2000 symbol itself. May be I expected there would be trips to the moon or beaming people to where they wanted to go to would be a common thing. Well it didn't happen, at least in this part of the world, but I am still glad they both made it. Actually more than made it as we are now in the year 2012 and my mum turned 88 only 2 months ago!
Now I would like them to reach 90, as my Father in law did, although being a bit older and a bit more realistic, I know age numbers don't really matter. But still, lol, it would be so much fun !
I called him this morning and he was fine. It's amazing to them too to have reached this age !
I just came back from the Vet. Bubbles got an armada of new meds and in a week we will do a blood test again. The sample today was good (10.28) what's funny because it's the second time it happens and it's the second time she has an upset tummy.
The fact that her body can concentrate her urine even if very seldom is still good news. Because the Vet can't find any clue of what is wrong with her, he started wondering if it couldn't be a behavior issue, meaning if she were to drink massive amounts of water
" for fun ", she would cause all these extreme values in her liver and dilute her urine, but of course, we can't be sure. I guess the blood test next week will help. Don't think she will be extremely happy though.
Project 365+1 - Day 306 : Tree revisited
Trees certainly will have been popular during this challenge !
OK, it's not exactly the same angle but it is the same place. Photo on the left was my free choice for Day 276 (October 2nd), so there are only 30 days between the 2 photos What a massive change !!!!
Take care everybody, xxx
