Hello . . .

Nothing much to tell today ( and I probably still be will able to write 50 lines, I know I've also been like this . . . )

Working hard with long days and very short nights. I have a new version of  my work to release today or tomorrow, after that I will be able to breathe a bit.

I have been having headaches or migraines everyday, I know I probably don't work enough,, but I more believe it comes from the weather. The pressure has been changing a lot, though it's still pretty cold.

Let's reflect April : Vulnerable

Funny how different people can be. I was convinced everybody felt vulnerable at a moment or another ( especially women), but after reading Joy and Lynne's blog yesterday, it let me perplex. I even rushed to have a look in Google thinking " Oh my God she did it again " in case my idea of vulnerable ( same word in French) would have been different from the British one and it is a bit but not too much.

I guess it's like any other word, it means several things and then we can concentrate on one and kind of forget the others. Vulnerability for me doesn't come from others, well very indirectly, it comes from situations. For example when my mother in law was sick with cancer in 2005 and the doctors had predicted a very clear ending even with time frame, I did feel vulnerable, because I was trying to keep my world together like these guys with their plates on sticks and it was falling apart anyway.

At the time we had temporarily moved to Wales and because my in-laws house was much too small, Dennis was sleeping there with his brother and sister and I was in a little B&B just down the road with Rhea ( Bubbles was still to come later that year). Spending some time by myself was helping my to cope.

If I have the choice and I mostly do because I work from home, I spend time in comfortable clothes like my PJs. Being in something warm and soft is helping very much. A psy would certainly relate that to pre-birth something, LOL.

It might not be ideal for everybody, but spending time on my own is also helping. The reason is that it forces me to find a solution from inside. It's more rewarding to take an hour to do crosswords by yourself, than finishing in 10 mns with somebody else giving you all the solutions ( I don't talk about doing crosswords together, that's different and that's nice ).
The other reason is if I were relying on Dennis, I would be in big trouble with all his travel.

As of food : Some of you already know, the others : Brace yourself. I eat Brussels Sprouts. Don't ask me why but that's my favorite anti-vulnerability food. I did have a sweet tooth before and I enjoyed  biscuits and cakes but now, I stock on Brussels Sprouts. I boil them add some ham and cheese on the top. 10 seconds in the microwave. To me it's paradise and worth a chocolate tablet. It leaves me happy. May be Janice being involved in food would know why ?

Take care everybody, xxx

Nice post. Are we talking fresh Brussel sprouts or frozen? I love the fresh ones, unfortunately, they don't like me so I can only eat a couple.
