Still raining but still nice day

This morning, the postman brought me the book I had made for my dad.

I must say it exceeded by 200% the highest most unreasonable expectations I might have had. It is absolutely fabulous. It's like a book you would have bought in a book shop but with what you wanted inside. It looks so professional, I surely will use this company again. I know somebody who is going to be so happy !

It's a very rainy weather, I still manage going out now and then with the girls without getting too wet, but it's not much fun to be outside, so most of the day when they are not eating, that's what the girls are doing :

One day I will record Bubbles so you can hear how loud she snores. It's out of this world.

Tonight Dennis is leaving for Taiwan for a couple of days. The worse is that he is even not here, he already spent a week in Switzerland and needs to go from there directly. That's going to be a very long one this time . . .  A big Hooray for Skype and FaceTime !!!

Nostalgia Challenge October : Giant leap

Actually it is nostalgia and it is a giant leap, but backwards for something that didn't change.

We visited my Father and Brother in law last week if you remember and when we arrived, by the door there was something I saw and I really wanted to ask if I could have some. In fact, just before we left and I had forgotten about it, my brother in law gave me a small red envelope (you know, the ones they do in China) and he said to me : "That's for you. May be it will bring back memories ?"

Inside were these :

I was so happy !  When I was at school, we used to grow them in cotton and then there was the little stem and 2 leaves coming up. It was so fascinating to see life growing. So I wait that Dennis is back and then we are going to grow them together.

It's so good to know that there are some very simple things that didn't change over the years.

Take care everybody, xxx

I know what you mean about growing things. I absolutely love planting seeds and watching them grow.
I feel just like your girls at the moment. I could sleep for England today.
It must be hard having Dennis away for so long.

We used to grow birdseed in cups with pieces of sponge in them when we were kids. That was a wonderful surprise for you though. I'm glad the book came out so well. I don't think I could stand it if Thadd was gone as much as Dennis. I would hate that. It's good you have the girls for company.
