It's a very interesting one.
Here is her quote for this week.
“When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But
when you photograph people in Black and White you photograph their souls” Ted
Grant
Edward "Ted" Grant was a South African Trotskyist who spent
most of his adult life in Britain. He was a founding member of the Militant
tendency and later Socialist Appeal.
This week I would like you to concentrate on taking photos of people,
first in colour and then changing the photo into B&W with your camera
setting or using a photo programme if you can.
Show us your results. So these are my photos. I had to cheat a bit with the pictures we took when we were in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago. My Human is in a meeting and I can't get a photo of him LOL.
and the other one
I think black and white fits best on a portrait.
Anyway, this is my contribution. Must run ( but you already know that . . . ).
Take care everybody, xxx

Excellent - you are great people!
Good luck!
I so agree with you. You don't get the distraction of the colours in the background.
Actually I like the color versions best in these shots. Whereas the background colors do distract a little, I think it all comes together well. Nice photos of you and Dennis.
I agree that sometimes portraits look good in B&W but I am still a colour girl!
I like the simpleness (if that's a word, lol) of b&w photos but colour is good too :)
I'm with Joy and Lynne love the colour, what we choose to wear and the environment we choose to take our photos says a lot about us too.
I love both sets of photos - they just send a different message. In colour you look so alive and real and I find the black and white more abstract and artistic. Good luck with your work!
I like how the B&W takes the distraction of the backgrounds out so we can really see you!
