Relaxing morning

I happen to have plenty of photos to share today.

The 1st one was taken yesterday afternoon in the kitchen. You would expect to find
" normal things " in a kitchen. Well in ours, you also can find robot parts, LOL.

I couldn't sleep this morning so I got up early to do a couple of things, then got ready to go to the park . DH was just getting up so he came with us. We were saturday, it was 9am so the runners were there, what we had forgotten. We still did a nice round and Rhea was in a good mood, even running after a squirrel ( OK, an old one ! ). I took a couple of pictures and we came back home.

That's when I got the word of today. Arrgghhh.

We needed to go to DH's office ( where he seldon goes as he mainly works from home ) as one of the fences was broken and we were told the plants outside were growing too much. I thought I could take more specific nature pictures there, so we did that and then we decided to have a walk by the river.

You will see all these pictures below.

Project 365+1 - Day 175 : Nature

I think what I love in this project or challenge or whatever you call it is that behind the facade of being just "  you get a word each day and you take a picture based on it " it is much more than that, at least for me.

When I get the word I am stuck with it and it will stay in my head until I have taken my photo. I know I have to deal with it one way or another, so I think about it a lot and when I think I don't think about it, I still do. It's like a Windows program that runs in the background. I will catch myself peeling potatoes and thinking about holidays when this idea pops into my head out of nowhere " I know what I can do with today's word ! ".

Hubby asks what the word is, my auntie and my parents in France too. It's like a project that brings people together.

Sometimes it's a tough word so lateral thinking is needed, for example for words like "candide", " interaction " or " humor ", they were pretty tough for me but the more difficult, the more fun.

Sometimes the word sends me on an ego trip like " from your past " and it brings me where I not necessarily wanted to go. Some words have pushed me to the extreme, even if it wasn't necessarily obvious in my posts. Some others have brought me doing things I normally wouldn't have done like taking pictures of strangers . . .

Even yesterday's word "Sunshine" was a very interesting one because of alternative given of taking a picture of things that bring sunshine in our life . I went for the 1st choice but I still thought about the 2nd one, people ( or doggies ) surrounding me or having departed but still bringing me joy when I think about them, how lucky I am to have or have had them.

I think all that is the reason why I had some difficulties with the "same but different week with a toy", because it stopped challenging me after a couple of days.

Tthis word photo challenge is the best thing I ever did and in many ways it brings the best out of me (just imagine how I would be without it, LOL ). I already have 150 days or so of photos in a binder and I love looking at them and remembering.

Last but not least I have met such nice people on the way, whom I really hope meeting for good one day.

So a big thank you again to you, Suzie. I know you decided to stop taking your pictures but thank you for still uploading the daily word. With this simple word, you offer a much bigger gift than you realize.

So back to today's word: Nature.

This photo below I took in the park before knowing the word but it happens to fit quite well. Look at the sky. It was soooo threatening to rain !

The one below, I took behind the office building. If you don't control nature for a while, it will take its rights again very soon !

All the photos below were taken not far away, by the river. It is such a beautiful place and if you love nature and wild animals, that's certainly the place to go. It is so peaceful and there is a small path all along the river.

On the right of this picture, you can see the most charming and romantic little pub. You can drink a coffee by the river and look at the ducks and wild chicken.

A beautiful duck. Unfortunately we didn't have any bread with us so he was quite disappointed !

And it wouldn't be complete without some beautiful clouds !

Take care everybody, xxx

I love your post and I agree with all your comments about the challenge.

I love that you are getting so much out of it.

Great photos of nature as usual. That walk along to the pub looks serene. xxx

The light in your nature photos is great. I often think that an ominous but bright sky produces great shots!

It was a lovely post to read. It has been a wonderful project to be a part of.

I agree with you about this challenge,Anne. It really makes you think about things in a different way and I mentally thank Suzie every day for making it so interesting.
The photos of the walk along the river make me wish I was there.
I am really looking forward to meeting you in person at the end of September, if that's possible.

True words Anne, thanks for saying what we are all feeling.. and my family and work people ask, or get told the word of the day too!
Nice nature, relaxing scenes.. I had a nice day but it was pretty crowded as it was a festival day in Penzance .. xx

I love to read your post each day, it is part of the 365 for me. I think the field of dandelions looks great, they are just flowers after all. River walk looks lovely. It was way too wet to outside yesterday. Today the sun is out, at least for a little while.
