Going Going Gone !

That's it ! My parents left. We got up at 4 am ( ouch ! ), had a small breakfast and reached Gatwick at 6. The terminal still had plenty of flags, what was really nice for our departure photo. We waited for the special assitance to pick them up after check-in and then we drove back home.

We are now back to our " without surprise, calm, organized by us, little life " but give me a day or two and I will start missing the dishes fights, the " take a jumper it's cold ",
the " why can't I buy this in England when I can buy it in France ? ", the " Don't you have an appointment today ? Oh  it's tomorrow! At what time so I can remind you ? " . . .

Well . . . Thinking about it now, better give me a week, lol.

You won't see any nature pictures today. I could have gone to the park this morning but I am so tired after getting up so early and it is absolutely pouring down, so the girls are surely better off staying at home for now, aren't they ?

Project 365+1 - Day 159 : Roadside

We were back home around 8:30 and I checked for today's word. I came back to see DH and said " Oh No ! Now we are just back ! Do you know what the word of the day is ? "
And he said " Airport ? "

Then I realized the word could have been Airport and it would have been much worse. After driving more than 3 hours return, it's sure I had quite a few occasions for roadside, but now I had to do with what I have around here, because I don't plan to go anywhere soon !

I took the picture in my street ( not cheating because it actually has ROAD in its name ). It almost doesn't show but it was raining so much I came back in half soaked, even with an umbrella.

Take care everybody, xxx

The airport photo of the three of you is lovely.

I haven't taken a photo for 3 days now- must put that right later!!

It's been torrential rain.

It looks very wet! Sorry to see your Mum and Dad go, I enjoyed hearing about them, but as i am about to go and visit my mum, sister and great aunt this weekend, I'm sure I will be able to empathise with you when I am back on Monday!!!!

Love the photo of you with your mum and dad under the flags.
Mums will always be mums, I'm afraid My mum was just the same and I know I am the same with my family - even though I try not to be. We often laugh with each other when I do it.

Aww, yes you will miss them again in a few days :)

Great angle for the roadside shot, it is horrendous here too. They are giving gale force winds tonight! xxx

Great photo with your folks, kind of describes your Jubilee weekend having them here. I hear my own Mum's words coming out of my mouth every time I am with my eldest girl, especially since she had her babes.. and sometimes what we don't like is seeing ourselves growing like them..but then we did love them didn't we.. what goes around comes around, and they will treasure the time from their French sofas next week just as you will from yours!!
