They made it

Dennis flights was delayed almost an hour but he eventually managed to reach UK it and he arrived home at 1 am. After he ate a bit, we went to bed until 8:30 this morning, when my Father in Law woke us up. He still didn't have his TV working due to massive amounts of snow on the antenna and he wanted the results of the Thunderball. Bless him. For him no TV would be like no Internet for us, pretty bad.

We went to the park and had fun with the girls, then we went back to our respective work, but still meeting downstairs now and then for a chat and a coffee, so it wasn't so bad !

In between my father in law said that the snow melted a bit and the TV works again. Thanks God for that, we might be able to sleep tomorrow.

I read Rinda's blog today, she was talking about a necklace and a word for the year. It intrigued me so I went to have a look and actually, I loved the idea and I am going to order one too. My word for the year will be Believe, not as a religious meaning but more as a spiritual one ( makes a difference to me,  lol ).

Nostalgia Challenge January - New beginnings

So that's official today, January 19th, 2013 : My parents are married since 64 years and this is their wedding photo.

When you were getting married at their time, it was more about love than about appearances. So many people nowadays spend so much money with sumptuous dresses and food and super hotel and exotic honeymoons. I don't say it's not nice, but so many of them end up being divorced within 2 years or less, anyway.

As Dr. Phil would say, they should spend a lot of time on planning their marriage, not planning their wedding.

These 2 didn't have any money for a white dress and a super tuxedo, but they looked so sweet and they certainly made it through the years.

I know, I should have do something crafty for my Nostalgia book, but I am really struggling with time now. In 2 weeks, it will be perfect and I will catch up, promised.

Take care everybody, xxx

Great photo of your parents, not sure if I should say this, but they look so French! I agree about the weddings, I don't even have an engagement ring we put the money into our first flat and I never bothered getting one after that. I can't wear my wedding ring now because of eczema so maybe just as well. It's not about the external show it's about us and we will have been married 32 years in June.
