So here we are : 29th of February ! One of my sisters in law turned 60 today, what coincidentally is also the 60th day of the year. It must be tough to have to take 4 years at a time in your face ; -p
Leaps years are much more complicated in China where the leap year has 13 months and the extra month has the same name as the one preceeding it. So in one leap year, you will have for example 2 months of August.
If it is your birthday, you are supposed to celebrate twice and if you are making appointments, you have to specify if you mean the first or the second month of August, That's really fun.
The park was very grey today. If you remember the story of my tree friend, the broken branch definitely realized it has been severed.
I found a tree with funny shaped branches.
Project 365 +1 - Day 60: Extraordinary
I have 2 photos today related to extraordinary.
The first event happened yesterday. I was very happy but also very doubtful so I tried again today to get a confirmation it was for real.
For the past 15 years or so, I have been a fan of Crunchy Nuts for breakfast. At a point that if we go somewhere family or hotel where I know they won't have any I take some with me.
When I had my fall last August, something very weird happened because the next morning, I couldn't eat Crunchy Nuts. I couldn't even look at them and when I tried to eat them anyway, they made me sick.
It probably sounds silly, but this caused an extreme distress in me because not only I was all broken and messed up but this aditionally was taken away from me and I couldn't understand why. I tried again several times but I ended up in dropping breakfast because I couldn't find anything else interesting to eat.
Yesterday I was doing some ordering in the kitchen and saw this pack.
Before throwing it away, I poured just a little bit in a bowl, with some orange juice in the top, as I normally do and I tried. I ate them and they tested good and I was fine. It was one of these moments like: Stop breathing you are going to wake up.
So I tried again this morning, with a massive bowl and that is one of my "extraordinary": It took almost 7 months but it looks I am really back on Crunchy Nuts for breakfast. and I am sooooo happy. Yeepee !
My 2nd extraordinary is related to the park . I was brought up in the center of a big city and I can't believe what an extraordinary luck I currently have to live here and be surrounded by such beautiful nature on my doorstep.
Take care everybody, xxx

What a great shot of the park. Truly beautiful ♥
What a relief you can finally eat your favourite cereal again.. I can totally relate to your story.. all my life I've eaten nuts and since the birth of my son I can't touch them without being poorly. We are strange creatures!!
Enjoy your extra day..xx
I hope you enjoy many more crunchy nut days. It is lovely to hear you so positive may it be the start of your recovery
I'm so happy that you can eat your favourite breakfast again Anne! And also that you have recorded it forevermore! xx
and another small victory for you :) not so sure about the OJ on the crunchy nuts.. but hey whatever.. must be a french thang :D :D, at least you know it wasnt a fluke and youre back to your fav breakfast..
love the park photo, could see myself wandering around there too...
I love those- but they never last long enough in this house for me to eat any!!! Great that you can enjoy your breakfasts again. I went off bananas when I was pregnant (actually all food- but particularly bananas). The girls turned 18 this year and it's only recently that I enjoy them again!
I agree that your park looks lovely.
Your park is lovely. I'm so glad you are enjoying your crunchy nuts again. I've never heard of orange juice on cereal before
Your park is lovely and if I knew you better I would say well done you Crunchy Nut :)
That is so interesting about the chinese tradition :)
What a wonderful extraordinary event to happen to you! So happy for you too xx Not sure if I would like orange juice on them, mind you I hate breakfast cereals!!
