Project 365+1 - Day 90 : Humour
Today is one of those days where I surely needed some sense of humour.
I got up early, checked the word and didn't really know what to do with it. After opening the garden door to the girls, Bubbles was up to nonsense and she had managed to be on her back and position her monkey on her own head what was really funny.
I thought that was the perfect photo so I grabbed my phone, was ready to take the picture but suddenly, I couldn't see Bubbles anymore but I saw myself live. That surely freaked me out a lot. I know by now the iphone users must be laughing on the floor, but I only have mine since 3 months and I am not completely used to it.
I thought it must be this front and back camera stuff I read about a while ago. I didn't know the iphone had that but how on earth could I switch that back ?
By the time I eventually found out Bubbles was somewhere else but I also had taken plenty of pictures of myself, what I didn't realize at first. This is the least terrible: Me in my PJs trying to push on all the buttons I could find.
.
So that was a laugh.
Not funny at all is that I am still waiting for this " #@'~%^ " courier company to deliver my MP3 player. We had a fight yesterday when I called them to know where my item was. They just said " Oops, it looks like we forgot putting in on the van for delivery. You know we are very busy".
Well they had promised to do it this morning. I called at 8, only to hear " It should be on the Van and I should call back at 12 to confirm ". I tried to explain that " should " wasn't good enough but I didn't go anywhere with them.
So we went to the park early after I left a note on the door in case they would pass buy to please please leave parcel at neighbours. I even wasn't in the mood for taking pictures. I only took one showing that effectively, the weather seems to be changing.
Without thinking I wore my clogs but because it was earlier in the day, the grass was still wet and by the time we were back home, my feet were frozen and I just hate that.
Then I rushed to Asda to buy a couple of things and to put petrol as I always do that on the same day. The queues at the Petrol Station were horrendous and I had to wait 30 minutes. What's going on with all this panicking ?
Then I came back home, unpacked the car, filled the fridge and called again regarding my delivery. Well my item is not on the van, no they don't deliver on saturdays but my item should be delivered on Monday. I begged them to give me their address so I can go and pick it up at the Southampton depot but " No, it's against protocol and I should be able to understand that they are busy and there is not just me."
I never heard so many should in my life.
So that's the situation, I paid for a 2 days delivery and my item is in their warehouse since 28/3 3am, so let's see if I will be lucky on Monday.
If you plan to buy anything from Pixmania, they are really good, but the forwarder they chose is terrible !
Anyway, nothing I could do about it, so I decided to have a cup of coffee in the garden when I realized that I hadn't removed the sign on the door and with my luck if another parcel would arrive, it would go to the neighbour directly.
This is what I had put on my door.
That really made me laugh because I thought " Thanks God they didn't try to deliver anyway. They are so hopeless, they would have maintained there were no instructions left on the door ! "
Take care everybody, xxx

I hate having to wait in for deliveries- they always seem to try and pick the time I can't be there!
Hope it arrives soon.
What a story. All those shoulds can really become a nightmare. I hope it is delivered very soon. The photo is very funny and one needs a great quantity of humour to get through "one of those days".
If you payed for 2nd day delivery you should ask for your money back if you don't get it.
You seem to have had a bad day today but it is good that you could laugh at your mistake. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
Anne the note did make me laugh!!
