When bad can be turned into good . . .

Another reasonnable night sleep, although DH was snoring his way through my CD and upsetting me a bit, lol !

The weather is sad but not wet or foggy. I went to the Vet with both dogs this morning, just for a check-up. Bubbles didn't realize until the last moment that we were taking the car (that she absolutely hates) so she played pancake again. She makes herself completely flat in her basket and doesn't move anymore, so getting her dead weight out of there is no piece of cake.

Anyway we eventually managed to go there and they were both in good shape so that was good news. Then we headed towards the park.

I don't know where my passion for big trees comes from but I really adore them. There is something about this majestic side of them that I admire. Also the fact many of them were there before us and still will be there long after us.

I was so sad years ago after a tempest in Versailles broke some 600 years old oak trees. Imagine what they witnessed as of French history !

Project 365+1 - Day 76 : Bliss

That word rang a bell but I needed to doublechek. It was kind of a blow in the face actually because everywhere I looked it was defined as : Supreme happiness - Perfect happiness - Great joy - Utter joy or contentment - Heaven, paradise.

There certainly is nothing looking like that in my life currently and it's not because I start sleeping better that I reached Buddha enlightenment !

So when we went to the park I hadn't got a clue what I would do today with this word and sadly enough although it is a positive word, I had managed to lower my mood just by thinking about it.

A lot of boys when they are young are breaking all their toys apart, just to see how they work. That was the case of my husband although he actually never stopped.
As a little girl, I broke apart words and ideas. I was known as the "why" little girl and I have driven a couple of people including my mum half insane with my questions. I couldn't stop thinking about the world and why this and why that.

Sometimes I wonder if I have a twisted mind that sees things that are not there or if things are there but not everybody wants to see them.
.

But actually, I think (Oh God, not again . . . ) I don't care and if that's who I am, then that's who I am and I am happy to go along with it.

So my thoughts about Bliss brought me to the idea that Bliss doesn't exist by itself but is only existing by putting other things together and it doesn't matter if they are happy things, it all depends how you put them together. I started picking up things during my walk : A half split branch, a broken tennis ball, a piece of torn material and some daffodils heads (that an idiot had cut again).

In themselves, they are all "negative " or at least "not happy" things but by putting them together I came up with this.

That's a happy face. I had a lot of fun to arrange my pieces and it brightened my mood, so this is my definition of bliss. Take things around you that you see as bad, put them together and do your best to make something good out of them.

Take care everybody, xxx

Another thought provoking piece of journalling and a great take on the word for you!!
As a very positive person whose 'glass is always more than half full' I am frequently blissful LOL in 7th heaven!

I love your take on the word today- there is always something lovely around you.

I had to laugh about Bubbles going flat in her basket and being impossible to move. I know another dog like that. Her latest though is to sit down and put her paw on her lead when she's had enough!

"To play pancake" - that's so funny, I've been laughing since I read it. I remember the Versailles trees "before" the storm as well. What a pity that they were destroyed, I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw the "after" scene. I also have a why niece (now grown up) who drove us all insane, but I think it's wonderful to be such a person.
