Imagination does it all !

Buckets of rain and mini tornadoes, the park won't see us for a while.

I really don't mind as it gives me a break and at least one of the 4 paws club members doesn't seem to be too bothered either.

Project 365+1 - Day 67 : Floor

There is a book I love, called " Le petit Prince " (The little Prince). It was first published in 1943 and it is the most famous work of a French writer, poet and pioneering aviator called Antoine de Saint Exupery.

It is one of the best-selling books ever published, translated into more than 250 languages and counting more than 200 million copies sold.

It looks like a children book (and it is) but it is much more than that, a kind of poetical and philosophical reflection on life. You can find the English version here

It all starts like this :

The narrator is an aviator whose plane crashed in the desert and he tries repairing it. After his first night, he wakes up to a voice saying "If you please--draw me a sheep . . ." and that's how he meets the little Prince for the 1st time. The narrator keeps on telling that he doesn't know how to draw. The little prince insists but any sheep the narrator draws is either too small, too old, not looking like a sheep . . .

By this time the narrator's patience is exhausted, because he is in a hurry to start repairing his plane, so he draws something and says to the little Prince: " This is only his box. The sheep you asked for is inside."

At his surprise there is a light break over the face of  the little Prince who says : "That is exactly the way I wanted it!"

and that's the start of a fantastic adventure that you really need to read.

This is my photo for today:

This is the carpet I have close to the sink to catch water splashes.
The floor is underneath, don't you think it looks gorgeous ?

Take care everybody, xxx

Holly is sulking today- because she can't bask in the sunshine. She hates the rain.
