The video below was made during the girls' lunch and it is especially for Kim's Holly in the hope it might give her some ideas.
As you can see Holly, carrots are not just for rabbits !
No park today as it was a swimming pool day for Rhea . DH is away so I had to bring her by myself and I thought if I have to be stressed, let's be stressed double, so I also took Bubbles with us.
In fact it wasn't too bad because it didn't rain and I left so early that I was 25 minutes in advance, what allowed me to take my time showering the girls.
Then it was waiting time. A door gets obviously opened via the handle, so that's the only thing Bubbles concentrates on : When is the handle going to move ?
She hadn't been swimming since last August when I had my accident. She only swims for pleasure so because DH was kind enough to always bring Rhea although he was so busy,
I thought it was enough for him to deal with one dog.
When the door eventually opened, Bubbles rushed into the water, it was so nice to see. She stayed the whole 30 minutes in and only got out because we told her to. If not, I reckon she still would be there, lol.
I then shampooed ( is that a word ? ) both dogs but when we were ready to go back to the car, it started raining and big thing. My car is too high for Rhea to jump so I bought some special stairs on Amazon . It's very practical and sturdy but it's pretty bulky too. It allows her to gently walk up and not strain her paws, but the stuff needs to be installed and then removed after she gets in and out each time.
Both dogs were still a bit wet from the pool so it didn't matter too much. I wasn't but
I obviously got so when we came back home the 3 of us needed a good dry.
I must say that we have seen the sun today, only a couple of rays at a time and so quickly you can't sit in the garden ( being completely wet anyway ), but we've seen it and I was pretty happy and excited about it !
The girls had their breakfast, their lunch, a big after pool biscuit and they are now sleeping like stones. The house is all mine and sooo quiet. Gorgeous feeling ! I reckon it must be the same feeling as when you have todlers who go to bed for a couple of hours, lol.
Project 365+1 - Day 192 : Shiny
He was a beautiful knight in a shiny armour . . . I don't know where I got that from but that's what shiny immediately made me think of.
My knight isn't home and anyway he seldon goes around in an armour, but I was lucky enough to have all I needed at the pool. The girls' harness has some reflective patches that are extremely shiny.
Take care everybody, xxx

And I smiled when you spoke of sleeping toddlers! I am back at work today and it is odd to only have 'my thing' to think of and not the variables two young ones create! You are such a great Dog Mum though, a swimming trip is an epic adventure with any kind of charges in tow! xx
PS Love the AM chat, as they say, it takes 'all kinds', even the you and me kind.. crazy bloggers! xx
lol- Holly is not convinced on the carrots video!! She will eat around anything healthy!
I would love to see if Holly would love the swimming. She swims in any water she can find.
I would think it was really hard work taking 2 dogs swimming and then shampooing them too LOL!!
Glad you know there is some sun up there!!
hope you enjoyed your peace and quiet time after the swimming.
Glad the girls liked their swim
Sounds like you all had a busy and happy day.
Well done on getting two of them swimming and then shampooed (I definitely think you got that right) and home again. I imagine it is just like toddlers :)
Glad you saw the sun too and as always thanks so much for texting it is so appreciated :) xxx
Well done, Anne! You still put us in your little pocket! -- In fact on the Bulgarian language it means - you're a winner. Most shiny and most brilliant!
BRAVO!
