Uninvited guest again !

Yesterday ended up being such a nice day. We went out for another walk in the afternoon, the sun was shining, the clouds were great

I even managed some time in the garden to relax with a cup of coffee.

Then I came back into my office and before starting working again, I decided to empy the bins. I have 2 bins in my office : a " normal one " and a  " crafting one ". After emptying the normal bin, I noticed something seemed rolling in the bottom ( I told you I DO need new glasses ). That's when came the scream you heard at round 4 PM not knowing where it came from. Well, Eastleigh was the location. This is what was in the bottom of my bin :

Around 2 inches. And don't you dare saying the photo quality isn't very good. I wasn't going to put my nose close t it for sure !

I can't stand crawling venimous stuff. My excuse (and that surely is a good one ) is that
I am highly allergic to them but in fact, I hate the big fat bodies. When I was in Germany there was a massive spider daddy long leg in my bedroom and I couldn't get rid of her, so
I left her there and even gave her a name, she was called Clothilde. I was OK with her because long legs and small body, but this kind of stuff here, no way.

DH had gone to pick up the kids, so I needed to deal with it. After my first scream, Rhea who was with me at the time had already started doubting my sanity, but when I picked the bin, direction bathroom toilet, still screaming, she completely gave up on me.
Now I know why the Indians used to scream when attacking the cow-boys, it's because they were scared and it gave them courage.

I managed to throw the spider and flush it but it gave me chills for the next hour. I don't like killing animals, whatever they are but there are some I just can't cohabit with.

This morning was a strange day. It was overcast but the temperature wasn't to be defined, like when you put your hand in a body temperature water and you can't feel anything.

Rhea was very happy today, hopping around between grasshopper and kangaroo style and without even noticing we walked to the complete end of the park, what was the first time since the start of her problems.

Disadvantage is that when it started raining we were then pretty far away so we got wet, but it didn't really matter ( can't believe I am saying that ! ).

This afternoon we booked squash and I am really looking forward to it but in the meanwhile, I need to work !!!

Project 365+1 - Day 188 : Project

When I found the word there was a light start of panic because there isn't anything modern in here excepted may be the classical computer and phone technology.

But then I remembered that a friend offered me this modern sculpture a couple of years ago.

I always wanted to use it as an example and make a similar wood sculpture but as everything else, it is on a waiting list. Good news after yesterday though as you all advised I don't redecorate the butterfly box, so the sculpture job just went one place up the queuing ladder !

Take care everybody, xxx

Well done with the long walk this morning in the park!

Love your sculpture you have and that looks as though it is made of wood?

Enjoy the squash this pm and no injuries today please :)

Oh and by the way I have a huge fear of spiders but have learnt not to scream but to catch it under a see through glass container ready for Peter!

I'm really lucky I don't mind spiders and can catch them and put them outdoors.
I love the simplicity of the sculpture

I love the sculpture- think we need to get something new for the house!

I'm 0K with spiders until they get to certain proportions! Holly also agrees with me- so she'll deal with small insects and spiders- but huge spiders are approached with a tap of the paw followed by a jump in the air.

Great sculpture.
I am far better with spiders than I used to be. I prefer to ignore them but can pick them up if there is someone who is scared. As a child though I once spent the night sleeping in the bath because I thought I had seen a spider in my bedroom and was petrified.

Ohh the spider Anne, it is such a shock when you come across them. I don't mind them too much apart from one time. In our old house which was Victorian and a good size I had a fireplace in my room...(no servant ever came to light a fire for me though!)...the entrance was boarded over and my bed was up against it, somehow some must have been around as I woke with a cobweb on my face! We moved the bed and that didn't happen again. I did have a very large black spider live on the ceiling corners for a few months and I called him Lullaby after the song by The Cure.

Love the clouds today and a big cuddly scruff for Rhea making such progress.

Hope the squash goes well xxxxx
