You know sometimes you see things without seeing them ? That's what happened to me yesterday. We were driving back from Squash and before us was this Southern water Van that couldn't bring himself to cross the road, so we had him under our nose for quite a while. Then I realized what I was seeing and I took a picture :
A bigger one so you see what I mean :
DH and I were laughing like complete nutters !
This morning it was raining again when I took the girls to the park. The park was empty excepted 2 other dog walkers and they both had Retrievers and labradors what made me ask myself the question: Are Retrievers and Labradors owners the nicest to bring doggies out by any weather ?
Greeting time for the doggies
One of the other dog walkers was also a red while ( yeah ! ) but we are not related
When you come back from the park soaked and grumpy, nothing like hubby telling you to smile, for getting such a stupid look on your face . . .
I cleaned and dried the girls, but they seriously starting smelling like wet dogs ( obviously ). Hopefully we go to the pool next week and they will have a good shampoo, so at least for a couple of hours, they will smell delicious !
We had a couple of things to do in Southampton and the weather there wasn't better than here
Project 365+1 - Day 189 : Past its prime
That's interesting because I misread the word, well I didn't misread it, I mis-remembered it. I kept in my head " past its time ", so we were looking for kind of different things. We even saw a horse carriage in town, what would have been ideal for " past its time ", but we were driving and I wasn't quick enough.
Now I just checked the post again to see that in fact it is " past its prime ". I rushed downstairs to check my phone and thanks God I texted the right one to Jen
The 2 are not so massively different so the photo I took is still OK but as you can see, it's written " past its time " on it, LOL !!!.
Funny thing is I told DH that I would have to type the letters in very
big font so it would clearer on the photo.

lol at changing the font size on a typewriter :) Sorry to hear you have the rain, but I think we are due a little sun here....it certainly makes a nice change.
It's ages since I used a typewriter. Glad the days of carbon paper is gone for me!
I'm amazed the Water Board can bear to drive round with that on the back!
LOL at the changing the font size and guess it is past it's prime too!! A good one!
I couldn't see what was wrong with the van either until you showed us!
We have finally had a few showers on and off today and grey skies too!
Now that is wet, we get a lot of that, but not today - hurrah!
I often misread the prompt and head off in my own direction - I don't think it really matters.
Oh Anne, I think that despite the rain that is getting you down I saw a good old funny Anne, you had me chuckling over your post today, well spotted on the van, the impostor red whale and the attempt to change font sizes. Sounds like you and Dennis had a nice day :)
Thank you for the inspiration today, I only didn't take it as the day overtook me!!
Of everyone I wish that this rain would stop and give you a good heatwave-french style xxxx (((hugs)))
Changing font size.. reminds me of a woman who sellotaped a pen to a piece of paper and planned to FAX it over to show the kind of pen she wanted!
The phrases aren't that mismatched in my opinion.. most things of olden days would be seen to be past their prime I guess xx
Hi, Anne. As usual, I needed more time to read and understand things. I also was looking past today ... You look great with this jacket! I think your idea with this typewriter is excellent!
