Birthday day 3 ! ! !

The Marvel's Avengers assemble movie was : WOW !
DH grew up with Marvel comics. On my side in France I only knew Hulk and I discovered in England Captain America, Thor, Ironman . . .
We all had a lot of fun. It's in 3D and there is action from start to finish. You really should go and watch that, it will revive the child in you ( if necessary !).

After the movies we ended up in Nando's. Their electronic tills were down and they had to take all orders by hand. Being a saturday night it caused massive queues but we managed not too bad.

We came back home too late ( and too full ) to have the cake, so I guess it's going to be Birthday day 3, today.

The start of our walk in the park was nice, although wet.

Here we have a North America Indian girl

Then suddenly a motorbike or truck passed by far away on the M3 and its exhaust pipe emitted a kind of a bang. It wasn't loud but loud enough for Rhea to hear it and believe it was fireworks. From that moment she wanted to go back home, meaning she ran back home.
As it's impossible to catch up with a running dog, I sent Bubbles to her in the hope she could calm her down and I just ran after both of them the way I could, calling her constantly and asking her to wait.

Rhea eventually stopped at the " meeting point for emergencies " and waited. I reached her completely out of breath ( I surely need to get fitter ) and complimented her for waiting there . We were clever to teach her that.

I didn't want to go back home immediately as it would have been acknowledging there was a problem, I tried to distract her and have her sniffing around a bit, what she did and I then proposed to go home. I think we could have gone back and continue our walk but it is so stressing to hope she will stop at the waiting point but not being sure that by then, I was the one wanting to go home.

Project 365+1 - Day 127 : Bumpy

When I found the word this morning, I thought it was very difficult and I was chatting with Hubby about our options. We were in the kitchen and I was scanning what could be bumpy in there when I suddenly saw a piece left of a Baguette we had for lunch yesterday. I turned it over and here you are with a bumpy surface :

Take care everybody, xxx

Great idea with the baguette. What a great idea having a meeting point with the dogs and even better still that they will use it when when scared.

Poor old Rhea- it's exactly what happens to Holly. We live by the elevated section of the M6 and if any of the large vehicles hydraulics make a noise she freaks out. She ran when my daughter took her for a walk. She did stop to make sure she was running after her- but did run all the way home.

The baguette looks lovely!!!
