When I got up this morning the sky was of a gorgeous blue but when we arrived in the park the clouds were already packing up.
These are my 2 grazing cows

Project 365+1 - Day 136 : Portrait of a stranger
This challenge is getting better and better.
Who dared saying I am sarcastic ???
I must admit that discovering the word this morning didn't fill me with bliss but hey who said we are supposed to have it easy everyday ??? Especially when we had it so difficult for the past 3 days ?
Sorry, sarcastic again. . .
My first move was to double check what exactly a stranger is.
Stranger : One who is neither a friend nor an acquaintance
Ouch . . . I thought so.
Problem nr. 1 : My 15kgs of dog food delivery has been announced for today so no plans to go out. Not many strangers in my house at any time so my subject would have to be found in the park.
Problem nr. 2 : I go to this park since almost 10 years and I pretty much know everybody.
Problem nr. 3 ; How do you take a photo of a stranger ? If somebody would ask to take my photo, I wouldn't say yes and if I caught somebody secretly taking a photo of me, I would get very upset.
So we went to the park, full of hope and excitement for today's photo ( Anne, shut up ! ) and tried to make a plan.
In fact when you start looking you do see, so there are many more strangers in the park than I though. That was an essential ingredient but I still didn't know how to make the cake. Rhea wasn't very cooperative as she was walking so slowly and sniffing every single patch of grass so that I couldn't get close to anybody but I didn't really want to get close to anybody either.
That was my first photo with full zoom, so they are VERY far away. Coward coward . . .
Then somebody appeared not too far away, but I only got their back also full zoom. Coward Coward
That person was going away and there was nobody else to be seen so I just played " I am adjusting my camera " and I went for the shot.
I am not a shy person at all but my heart was pounding so much that I started to hyperventilate, LOL. May be my parents did a real good job after all in teaching me what you are supposed to do and not to do ?
You need to promise me something. If one day you hear I was arrested for a crime of any kind you have to come and defend me because it's impossible I would have done it, whatever it is.
There was nobody for a while. I don't blame them. It was cold and very windy. Then we met a woman I didn't know. She had 2 dogs and the girls started playing with them. That's when I started developping my tactics. I was talking to Rhea (on the left) and the woman thought I was taking a picture of my dog. He He He. So I got that photo still with some zooming:
By the time we were on our way back home, I had the perfect trick. So if you struggle for your photo today, follow these steps:
- Chose your subject preferably walking towards your direction.
- Start talking loud and moving your camera in all directions ( it's easier if you have a child or a dog with you so people won't think you are a nutter, but it's not essential ).
- Your subject will look at you and think you are nuts anyway.
- As soon as you subject is looking away, you can take all the photos you want.
That's the last photo I got. No zoom. Good girl, me !
So, mission accomplished. What's next, Boss ?
Take care everybody, xxx

lol well done!!!!!! I am very shy- so there's no way I could have asked a stranger to let me take their photo today and don't think I'd have managed to get one at the bus stop using the dog trick!
It was bitterly cold here this morning- sleet type rain!
Love it Anne! :D
Well done for all your diversion tactics. Delayed shutter release can be good as you can be looking the other way when the snap is taken. Not that I would have tried anything like that!!!
well done, you managed the challenge really well.
Anne, you did it again, blog entry of the day for me.. so much fun.. xx
Wait, don't challenge her more!!!!
Brilliant you went full pelt into it in the end :)
Well, I think you have had a tale to tell, but I wish I could hear the tale the lady told when she got home about the nutter in the park taking photos as she sorted her dogs out lol xx
The clouds might have come in but what a great light it gave for the first photos of the girls :)
Anne you crack me up LOL!!
Well done doing a photo(s) yesterday and not scrolling through archives like me!
This was a really tricky one, wasn't it? I have to own up to not actually taking this picture yet..
