In the past days I have learnt a good lesson the harsh way : If not careful, what is a Blessing can very easily become a Curse.
With that, I mean Digital Photography. I have been slaved to my computer for more hours I actually could afford only to sort out all the photos I wanted to print before my PhotoBox credits expire next week.
Digital Photography is so good. You see something you like, you point, you click and because you don't pay anything like at the film rolls time, you can click as often as you want.
Yesterday afternoon when I took Bubbles out I came back home with 57 photos for an hour walk. You multiply that by 2 walks a day (normally), 123 days since Project 365+1 started, that gives you a basic idea of how many photos are in my computer just for the past 4 months : more than 10,000 and thanks God it rained in between.
Now that is plainly ridiculous. If at least they were all different photos, it would be easy,
I like I don't like, I print I don't print. But no, there are basically 6 or 7 photos each of the same topic, just in order to get THE photo, so I had to look at them all in details to see which one with which half a cm angle difference looked better.
And additionally to learning that lesson, I also discovered something, I love taking pictures, I hate sorting them out . . .
So today, mind you I learnt my lesson and I only took 2 photos in the park, LOL. I guess the secret is to sort them daily, what I should start doing.
Our walk was nice this morning. Rhea behaved although there were some water paddles.
I think she was still a bit tired from the swimming yesterday so she was a good girl.
Two photos of flowers today.
This one I never saw before, no idea what it is but I find it exquisite.
Project 365+1 - Day 123 : Futuristic
That was an easy one for me. I guess when you have an idea, it's always an easy one, LOL.
DH and I were lucky enough to be in Taiwan at the time Taipei 101 was built. It was a magnificient project and it is a magnificient building. It was completed in 2003 and it was world's tallest building until 2004.
It is called 101 because there 101 floors ( you could have guessed that ) grouped within 8 sub-platforms ( 8 being the Chinese lucky number ) . The project received the highest award for leadership in Energy and environmental design, making it the largest green building on earth. So at that time, it was definitely a futuristic building.
David always wanted to study archirecture and when we brought back
pictures of the building, although he was only 11 years old, he
wanted to make a 3D model of it. You can see it on the left with the
real 101 on the right (obviously ). I think he did a great job and our 101 proudly stands in DH's office.
Take care everybody, xxx
UPDATE
Well . . . I just went to the website Hazel went to and to be honest, I am seriously considering my options now, like applying for a job at Monsters Inc ? LOL

Wow- that is a fantastic model. Does he still want to be an architect? One of Amy's friends is going to study that at Uni in Sept.
I also hate sorting through the photos now. I think I print less now that I have more choice! I do need to think about backing up the photos again though.
I have loads of photos to sort through. Every now and again i get in the mood and have a bash.
I put a photo taken 30 years ago into the ageing website, aged it 30 years and thanked God I don't look like they predicted.
Great stuff Anne, I love that model and I hadn't heard of that building. I used to watch those big building programmes on discovery.
I had that photo problem last year and so I knew to start differently this year. So I have a folder for each week and ruthlessly edit them once a week. It is such a painful lesson. As is buying photobox credits, I left it until the last minute too....
great model
