So . . . What was Bubbles looking at on my desk ?

The answer is on the video below :

When we went to the park yesterday I made a couple of small videos and on one of them Bubbles was running after squirrels and I was talking to her. I watched the video when we came back home and Bubbles happened to be in my office. She watched the video 3 times and couldn't take her eyes out of the screen so I made an additional video to record her watching that.

She loves watching TV, I have videos and pictures of her stuck in front of Planet Animal programs, watching the 101 Dalmatians, she even watches Football. She has her prefered animals : Monkeys, penguins and small things like rabbits and mice.  Lions frighten her but she likes tiggers and she is very unsure about elephants. When she sees baby animals she goes to pick up her monkey doudou and tries to give it to them.

We often switch the TV to an animal program and call her so she can watch. We find it fascinating because we don't understand how she can " see that way ". She even can recognize animals on cartoons. As a joke, my brother in law offered the girls last year a DVD of Wallace and Gromit. Rhea wasn't interested as she " can't see " the TV but Bubbles watched it.

When Sophie was small we bought her a hydrogen balloon and after a while she wanted to release it in the garden. Bubbles was able to watch it go up in the sky as long as we did and when she couldn't see it anymore, she was scanning the sky and searching for it. The amazing thing is not just that she can do it, it is that she is so curious about it.

And for TV or computer if you think it's just the sound, it's not. If we put the TV on mute or on pause, she will come to us and complain. If we switch the sound and picture back on, she will go back and sit in front of the TV.

Yesterday was the first time she was seing herself. At least one girl who isn't self conscious when watching herself . . .

Nicky (Picxie) and my auntie were incredibly close because actually Bubbles and Dennis do interact on Skype when he is away. When she hears the Skype ring she comes and sits down as she did last night and looks at him. It's like she is waiting for her turn because she knows eventually he will communicate on a one to one level with her too and she just loves it !

I'll be back later with the word of today.

Take care everybody, xxx

How sweet- Holly can't see tv images, photos, through water etc. We always joke that she needs glasses. The only time she reacts to the telly is if there is a squeaky toy on- then she runs into the next room to look 'behind' the tv!

She looks so darned cute watching that, I could just nibble and scruff those ears :)

Well what an excellent story. Is your streaming in HD, I ask as I remember an article I read or watched recently that dogs were watching more tv as they can 'see' HD better.

Fudge likes to bark at horses, and growls at any other animal on the tv. Minty couldn't care less!
