Today is a special day, it is DH's birthday. We just had breakfast, will do the presents ceremony and then will go to the park with the girls.
It will be a short post now that will be updated either later tonight or tomorrow with photos of the birthday boy.
Project 365+1 Day 125 : Smooth
We were discussing the word this morning and both agreed that it relates to a lot of senses like Touch and Taste but not so much to Sight. But then I got an idea and this is my photo:
The material covering my new hard disk drive is so smooth that you can see a reflection of me taking the picture.
Catch up later, take care everybody, xxx
UPDATE
OK I am back. Where were we? Yes, the presents. DH is a very easy going person and one of the most difficult tasks is to offer him something because he is always happy with what he has. Having such a hubby is wonderful as long as it doesn't come close to his birthday but after a bit of torture here and there, I always manage to have him giving me some ideas. So once again I successfully survived the finding presents for his birthday.
He got a voucher for new trousers
a CD and as ideas I picked myself, a book on easy chinese suppers and a
flexible keyboard (if I had had one of these, I wouldn't have broken my
keys recently . . . ).
My parents sent him a voucher to buy Traffic Apps on his
i-phone. I put it in a home made voucher (I know, I know, I seriously need to learn how to draw a car . . . )
The kids will be here tomorrow so he didn't get their presents yet.
Then we went to the parc with the girls. You try to take a picture of a human being, it is relatively easy. You add a dog, it's tough. You add 2 dogs, it can become mission impossible. You add 1 dog + Rhea, you can forget about it. Bubbles was so good looking at the camera all the time but that the time I kept on calling Rhea, Bubbles got fed up and put her attention on the squirrels. It's still a nice picture
We found some . . . I don't know what they are. They look like pine cones but they are different than normal ones.
I was chatting with Hubby about the 365 +1 project and how fascinating it is to be deeply involved in the life of others in this group since already 124 days and double that to go.
This morning, I even though I recognized Minty, Jen's dog. So I took a picture to compare. In fact after looking at the original on her blog it doesn't really look like Minty.
It might be the same breed, don't know or the same size. But the funny thing is that it shows how deeply I have integrated other people of this challenge into my life !
Back home we played cards. It's so seldon we have any occasion to relax together. We played diabolic rummy.
I don't know if it exists in this coutry. We taught the kids and they love it.
After that it was time to invit Hubby to a nice local Chinese restaurant. We had a great time. We took the photo ourselves with our phone so it's not great quality but I like it very much.
Still plenty of time left to enjoy his birthday before starting all over again tomorrow when the kids come.
Take care everybody, xxx

Wonderuful and imaginative photo. I also can't stop staring at the photos of waterdrops and dandelions you published during the last few days. Awesome! Re a large number of photos on the computer I have the same problems - way too many snapshot and not all are worth keeping. Oh - and your parents are really beautiful. Age and wrinkles don't matter but the inner beauty. My mother is nearly the same age as yours - 87 this September.
I hope your dh has a wonderful birthday. Love your photo- I still haven't decided what to take today.
lovely photo of you both.Hope dh had a lovely birthday
Great post as always, in fact as I always need to put that with your post I am going to create an abbreviation GPAA :)
Your DH is such a lovely looking man, he looks so kind. I love the great presents you got for him and how you did the cards and vouchers.
Love the photos of the three of them and of course the one of the two of you.
I also love that you think you saw Minty :) I'll add one in today of her in her entirety, she has much shorter legs lol.
Aww happy birthday to your DH :) x
Thank you for sharing such a lovely day with us. It looks like DH had a lovely birthday. I've never heard of diabolical rummy. It would be a good game for me as I am diabolical at card games.
It looks like he had a lovely birthday- how wonderful that he is so happy with what he already has. I absolutely LOVE your bookcases. I wish I could install some here!!!
